overturning the ban on partial birth abortion

Thursday, August 26th, 2004

Judge Rules Against Partial-Birth Abortion Ban. one of my my old co-workers used to say that he wanted to go around, find every abortion supporter, talk to their mother, and ask her if she ever thought about getting an abortion, and if so, killing the supporter. that’s a pretty gross way to look at, and i agree, if you don’t know the whole story. einstein is back

einstein is back! (bigger, desktop )

i’ve been waiting for this for a little while. i know there’s alot of guys up at apple’s corporate office, and a ton in the quicktime department, that like farscape now, i spread it around pretty good when i was there. plus, it’s been pretty big news that the farscape mini series is coming out. i saw it on fox news, cnn headline news, heard it on almost every radio station i listen to. happy? i think frelling excited it more closer!

in gamne ads? you bet ya!

Wednesday, August 25th, 2004

gamesindustry.biz the first big story story on it. the second big story i read. would it work? you bet ya! i for one will go to any url i see in a video game. and i’m almost ashamed to say it, but i actually bought pants cause i saw them in a tony hawk game, thought they looked cool, and went and found a pair. shameful ain’t it? but the advertising would work! i’m sure they’ll find a way to track it. they find a way to track everything afterall. so, does this mean that in halo 2, charachters will randomly break out into song for some related product? the desert eagle ho-down, followed by a rendition of blue skys smiling at me sung by the cov because they breath in our planets atmoshpere due to a lifetime supply of claretin. i think i pay more attention in video games than when i watch tv anyway, so that may have something to do with it.

on a related note someone cracks down on spam! they need do this more often and more successfully. my rule book is getting too long.

and now for something

beam them around boys

Saturday, August 21st, 2004

back in june physics web ran an article about how new ground were broken for teleportation and what exactly they did to do it. the nice thing about this particular method is that is actually seems to work. imagine that, a working principle. it’s about 9% more effective than previous methods.

is it the next step twords beaming people from a planet to a spaceship? not quite yet. it is a step in getting quantum computers working. which i would love personally. just having a nice small computer that tucks itself nicely out of the way. possibly with that much computer power, we can figure out how to beam people around. all in all, it’s a good thing. hey, maybe if we can get computers that small i could fill my room with them and have them all running foldin@home. hmmm…..

dino inventor did his homework too well

Friday, August 20th, 2004

Career of dino ‘inventor’ marked. this was one of those articles i marked a long time ago to comment on. now that i’m starting school on monday, i figured i’d just post it for no reason. that’s right, no reason, at all!

seriously though, no one copies anyone elses work, ever? i find that hard to beleive pesonally. it does kinda throw something into perspective, i’m sure of that, i’m just not sure of what that was.

it’s kinda a bummer that the guy was such a pompus anything, but he was, but he’s also credited with naming dinosaurs and the dodo bird. sounds like a fun guy eh?

basketball shoes – a timeline

Thursday, August 19th, 2004

the timeline of basketball shoes. everyones favorite shoe and its history. ok, well not really everyone. that is kind of like saying that everyones got a running bison when not everyone owns a running bison. or that everyone loves bread, cause people that have wheat in their diet pretty much hate bread (for the most part). everyones got a…even if you name a body part it might not be true, except maybe a heart, or brain, but even those can be taken wrongly. but you do need something to put into a shoe to wear it. so everyone that wears shoes has something to put in the shoe, or through the shoe, or around the shoe, or in proximity to the shoe.

this message brought to you by political corretness and it’s rambling incorretness.

bad blogging – part 1.0

Wednesday, August 18th, 2004

i’ve been a bad blogger, leaving my poor helpless blog alone for four days. shame on me! what is that? i had nothing to comment on? why should that make a difference? but it makes all the difference in the world!

in my never ending search for something different and fun, i’ve side tracked myself from blogging. oddly enough it was to go read other blogs about blogging, and research of new technologies to help with data management. yes, data management, not just blogging. so a little of what i found was people posting pointless posts. which is something i’ve tried to stay away from.
