as a somewhat of a sidebar to the earlier posting: internet explorer is a pain for graphics. mainly because of that stupid alpha layer transparency with png’s problem. the problem for me being that i can’t just use the same png everywhere. and it’s not going to look right with gif’s, so i’ll have to create a unique gif file for every iteration of my logo(s). just another reasons to get firefox.

3 up, one down
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004bruins lost over the weekend…
but the sox are up in the series 3-0…
well, i’m 3 for four this week, as i’ve stopped watching the nfl. raiders are out, packers are ya…and the steelers are still ok….and of cource the patriots are kicking ass…so all that’s left is my favorite coach, cowler on the steelers…
but nothing is as good as saying red socks won three in a row!
football, american style
Saturday, October 23rd, 2004i’m currently watching the ucla vs. asu game (go ucla!), and while i’m watching, i’ve decided to read some stuff from around the net about football. when it comes to the ncaa, i’m a ucla fan. and if not ucla, then a california based team. then, everyone else basically.
when it comes to the nfl i’m a big raiders fan. followed by the packers, and then the patriots and bucs are tied for third. one of the stories i came across was about jerry rice. and i have to agree, rice really needs to retire. the tagline for the story was great “The longer Jerry Rice keeps playing, the more we’re going to forget he’s the greatest football player ever.” so, it will be interesting to see what he does in washington.
but hey, go ucla!
go boston!
Wednesday, October 20th, 2004the greatest show ever made…returns!
Saturday, October 16th, 2004
this sunday, farscape returns! the greatest show of all time, and to quote fox news “the greatest sci-fi epic series, which ended in a gut wrenching cliff hanger returns to the sci-fi channel on sunday.” for more info you can check out farWHAT.com to find out what the frell i’m talking about.
if you have the sci-fi channel, please, tune in on sunday, you won’t be disapointed. the previous 4 seasons are on dvd, so you might want to check those out as well. the show really is that good, and it gets even better if you watch the whole thing in its serialized format. but, even if you jump on in at the mini series, the writers will no doubt do a wonderful job (as always) to bring everyone in and let you know what’s going on. so, have fun, and watch!
update: sci-fi is showing this awesome series again on sunday, the 24th, in it’s entirety starting at 3pm. so if you missed it, you can see it. or if you just want to watch it again, here’s your chance!
the punisher
Saturday, October 16th, 2004ok, so i finally got around to getting and watching the punisher. and despite what everyone else has said, i think it’s a pretty good movie. if you like action movies you really need to see it. but if you just like a good movie, it’s worth a watch. the added bonus is that it’s actually a good comic book movie, it’s fairly acurate and still entertaining. if you haven’t seen it, and just need a good hour and some off minutes wasted, it’s a good movie. i’ve found it’s also a nice movie to have on in the background while you’re doing research/homework/cleaning. why? well, when you feel like killing something, just watch the movie, they’re doing it for you.
site development
Friday, October 15th, 2004here is the dev center i’ve been rumored to be creating for this site. the basics are that this will be a post that will be constantly update, it’s not going to be small, and will become it’s own dev blog within the blog. as opposed to cluttering the site with updating posts (examples: 1, 2, 3, 4) i’d rather have one repository for information of this sort. of which fulfills a desire of mine that every site should have something like this, every site that has an ever changing interface and any blog developers that want to help themselves keep track of what they’re doing. the section is broken up into several categories: to-do’s, random updates, quality checklist. as it’s very nature is to change all the time, it will be. not much is here now, school is in the way. let the experiment begin!
To-Do’s

whose line….take three!
Thursday, October 14th, 2004
i finally got around to watching drew carey’s green screen. the first thing i noticed was that colin has white hair! after i got over the shock of that, and the show progressed, all i could thing of was that this is whose line without ryan stiles. no complaints from me (although, i do miss some of ryan’s antiques). other things that threw me off, greg proops not wearing a jacket of tie. but alas, this isn’t whose line.
so, what is it? well, it’s a new take on alot of the whose line games. helps bring improv to some of the masses that couldn’t understand whose line, as it didn’t have pretty pictures. the good news is that there’s a new improv show in town. so i guess it looks like i’ll be doing more improv at parties, not sure how that works, but it always seems too.
at any rate, check the show out, it’s great! and i have a feeling it’ll only get better from here on out. like if they do weird newscasters (christopher walken [jeff davis] and snaglepuss [chip esten] at the same time!), or scenes from a hat (my all time favorite skit). those being the skits i’d like to see. other hopes for this show include: the resurrection of whose line is it anyway.
darn universal laws
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004ever wondered How you can break Murphy’s Law? i know i have! so thanks to a trio of nutty brits, you can! for just five easy payments of doing something different!
